The suburban residential neighborhood of Evergreen is located in the southwest quadrant of Calgary, bordering the communities of Shawnessy and Bridlewood. At an elevation of 1,100 meters, Evergreen is home to more than 20,000 people across 4.6 square kilometers of land.

Evergreen is comprised of two sections, the older Evergreen Estates established in 1980, and the newer Evergreen to the south, first developed in 1999. These two sections maintain separate community associations and street naming patterns. Many homes border on Fish Creek Provincial Park immediately to the north, allowing easy access to nature and open green space.
