The suburban residential neighborhood of Mahogany sits on the southeastern end of Calgary, adjacent to the communities of Copperfield and Auburn Bay. Within a land area of 6.4 square kilometers, the population continues to grow every year as more new homes are completed.

Mahogany is a young community that began development in 2007. Two sizable bodies of water form the layout of the neighbourhood, with Mahogany Boulevard serving as a main thoroughfare. The area is bordered by 52 St SE to the west, and a future line of Calgary’s C-Train system is expected to run parallel to it and serve Mahogany residents.
