The residential neighborhood of Sundance is located in the southeast quadrant of Calgary. It covers a relatively small land area of just four square kilometers, home to a population approaching 11,000 people.
Sundance was established in 1982, situated just east of MacLeod Trail with Sun Valley Boulevard spanning its perimeter, while also bordering Fish Creek Provincial Park. In the middle of the community sits the 33-acre, man-made Sundance Lake, alongside Sundance Park, a popular spot to enjoy the outdoors. There’s also easy access from Sundance to the public beach of nearby Sikome Lake.
